For Internet, computer or networking companies in the U.S. that wish to add a satellite service to their product mix, the Skycasters Value Added Reseller (VAR) is a perfect solution.
From a technology perspective, Skycasters can provide direct connections to the US Internet backbone from many locations located within the satellite footprints. Skycasters uses four satellites, each with a different footprint. To see the footprint maps, click here.
Skycasters service can only be sold to business, government and educational organizations for installation within the United States. The reseller will bill and service the customer and provide level one and level two technical support along with email, web hosting and other services. Skycasters provides only the Internet connection and level three technical support.
Skycasters makes email, web hosting, and branded or unbranded level one and two technical support and/or billing services available as wholesale options.
Train-the-trainer training is provided in three separate areas; product training, technical support training and installation training. For resellers who wish to do their own installations, FCC required Installer Certifications are issued to Skycasters installation training graduates. Technical Support and Product training are provided on a scheduled basis in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Installation training and certification are provided on a scheduled basis in Akron, Ohio. Other training venues can be negotiated. The total upfront cost to get started in this business opportunity averages about
