2009 Broadband Stimulus Plan

As we together face our nation's greatest challenge, we look forward with renewed hope, as advanced by our 44th President, Barack Obama. The recently approved American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) ensures that Broadband access is available to all Americans.

Wi-Fi/WiMAX Networks. Specifically, there will be funds available to build Wi-Fi/WiMAX networks to connect small communities that were previously "off the grid" as far as the Internet is concerned. Wi-Fi/WiMAX is often a great solution, but there's still a missing link. How do you connect the Wi-Fi/WiMAX network to the rest of the Internet backbone? Highways. Another significant initiative of President Obama's Stimulus Plan is the rebuilding of our nation's infrastructure. Here at Skycasters, we're all in favor of that. We're headquartered in Akron, Ohio, and we see aging infrastructure every day. So let's go fill some potholes, and build new bridges. The reality is that if you are going to do a construction project in the 21st century, you need reliable communications to the site. Not just cell phones, but real IP communications for emailing documents, verifying plans and work orders, etc. If you are in the construction business, whether in a job site trailer office or right there on the side of-what's-gonna-be-a-road-when-you-get-done-with-it, Skycasters can help.
