Mobile Satellite Internet Solutions

Since the inception of the mobile satellite Internet industry, the 1.2-meter system has remained the standard among high-end enterprise and government organizations.

The primary reason for this is two-fold: BANDWIDTH SCALABILITY AND COVERAGE AREA.

With a 1.2-meter auto deploy satellite antenna, customers have the option of every iDirect-based service plan that Skycasters offers! Anyone familiar with the satellite industry knows that the antenna size has a direct correlation with bandwidth capability (especially in regards to upload capacity). In order to overcome atmospheric weather conditions, while retaining extreme bandwidth rates, a 1.2-meter satellite antenna can be paired with a number of different radio (BUC) sizes for unparalleled performance with almost zero data loss. For customers that need the highest bandwidth rates, they will find the 1.2-meter system to be ideal.

In addition to the bandwidth flexibility and performance, the 1.2-meter antennas allow users to travel further into the perimeter of the satellite coverage footprint. For any clients that need to venture to the northern regions of Canada or southern regions of lower Central America, a 1.2-meter dish will be a necessity.

Skycasters 1.2-meter mobile solution is the iNetVu 1200, and was the first antenna size to be offered in the marketplace years ago for all of the reasons mentioned above. This auto-deploy antenna performs exactly like the iNetVu 750 and iNetVu 980 in terms of user interface, so there is little to no training required. The iNetVu 1200 comes standard with the same user-friendly one touch controller (5000 / 9000 series) and internal Ethernet-based modem (iDirect 3100).

Virtually any type of mobile customer can find substantial value with the iNetVu 1200. The primary customers in need of a 1.2-meter system are virtually limitless, but would include those involved in disaster recovery/first responder positions, mobile medical personnel, large exploration teams and even video broadcasters. To be more specific, such a system would be needed for any top-tier enterprise level / government organization in need of upload speeds in the 1.0 – 1.5 Mbps range or download speeds in the 2.0 – 4.0 Mbps range. Even if there is not an immediate need for such bandwidth, it may be economical in the long run to have an antenna that can be upgraded to such capable service levels.

With any equipment platform we offer, Skycasters makes upgrading service plans as easy as a phone call/email. We understand that customers’ goals are not only to have the highest quality IP service available, but to have the ability to upgrade as their technology needs change.

Skycasters even offers the ability to upgrade service plans on a temporary basis, which is optimal for those needing a backup solution for business continuity in the event of a disaster or severed terrestrial connection. By starting with a lower level base plan, customers will save hundreds of dollars per month AND have the bandwidth capability they need. Once the disaster has passed, customers have the option of reverting back to their lower bandwidth plan to save a significant amount in bandwidth charges.

The professional installations of the 750, 980 and 1200 antennas can be performed almost anywhere in the U.S. within a small turnaround time (10-12 business days in most cases).

Also, for customers who do not have a designated vehicle to use with our mobile antennas, Skycasters is now offering 2 ways to have portable broadband: custom trailers and Flyaways. Any of our mobile satellite solutions can be professionally mounted on a customized trailer, which can be towed behind any vehicle [insert trailer link here], or integrated into a portable (shippable) case, known as a Flyaway system.
