Skycasters’ PTMP Maintenance Program Gives You Peace of Mind
We’ve built our system from the ground up using only rugged, commercial-grade equipment. From our multiple teleports on the ground to the VSAT dish and indoor modem at customer locations, every component in our network is built to withstand the harshest conditions. However, like anything else, your system will require periodic maintenance and perhaps even a repair. This can create unexpected expenses that you just don’t need.
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to perform PTMP maintenance and repairs without it taking a bite out of your bottom line. Therefore, we have built escrow requirements into each service plan to give you peace of mind and know how you are going to pay for it.
How you fulfill those escrow requirements is up to you, but we generally suggest you set aside part of your earned credits each month into a periodic maintenance fund. Typically, the escrow fee is $300/month, until the fund reaches $3,000. When PTMP maintenance is needed, it is paid for out of this fund—with full oversight and approval from you. (After all, it is your money.) When the fund dips below $3,000, it is replenished from the monthly credit account or however else you wish.
Funding PTMP Maintenance Through Earned Credits
Your escrow requirements can easily be met by the residual fee you charge your guests for Internet access. In fact, most of our satellite Internet customers find this to be the easiest and best option for paying the escrow fee for PTMP maintenance.
We work with you to determine which rate plans you will offer your guests and the residual you will earn to meet your escrow requirements.
