--120 VAC power (UPS preferable - Skycasters recommends a customer-provided UPS with a rating of 300VA). Power is needed only to the indoor unit; the indoor equipment powers the dish.

--One port on network hub (if applicable).

--Adequate mounting location with clear view of the southern sky
