The Skycasters Difference

Unique satellite solutions for your unique needs.

Skycasters NOC G28 AntennaWe at Skycasters understand that every industry and business has its own communication challenges, needs and requirements. So our approach is far more flexible than the one-size-fits-all plans offered by many other broadband satellite Internet providers. We prefer to get to know you, your business and how you want to communicate with your customers, employees and other audiences before we recommend a system.

Do you need VoIPTool Tip, streaming videoTool Tip or video conferencingTool Tip capabilities? A VPNTool Tip or VLANTool Tip? Fixed or mobile equipment? An entire fleet of custom-built trailers? Whatever it is you need, we’ll work with you every step of the way to design a package that’s just right.

Customer service from actual Skycasters people.

In today’s marketplace, it’s rare for a company to deliver on its customer service promises. But at Skycasters, we put our money where our mouth is.

Instead of having to deal with the frustration of trying to resolve a technical issue through an outsourced customer service rep in India, or worse, through a computerized, automated attendant from hell, our customers talk directly with Skycasters personnel. We offer 24/7 tech support from real live human beings—Skycasters experts that work at our Skycasters offices. With their extensive knowledge of all the components in our broadband satellite Internet network, they stand ready to help you troubleshoot or resolve any problem you may be experiencing. Because making sure you are up and running is the most important thing we do.

Should you need to resolve an administrative issue or discuss plan options, just contact our Customer Care Department Monday—Friday between 8am-6pm.

Our commitment to quality over quantity.

We know that reliable, fast and affordable satellite Internet not only plays a crucial role in your organization’s infrastructure, but in your overall success. That’s why we’re here 24/7 to deliver you the absolute best in IP-based satelliteTool Tip communications. And unlike our competitors, we never oversubscribe our network. Never—that’s a promise.

Connectivity with confidence.

Skycasters NOC infrastructure provides robust architecture and ample colocation space. In the event of an equipment failure, outage or even just scheduled maintenance, Skycasters offers you total peace of mind. We recently added a redundant 6.3M VertexRSI antenna systemTool Tip at our teleportTool Tip as a backup for our two primary antennasTool Tip. For even further protection, our teleport is connected to the U.S. Internet backboneTool Tip through redundant fiber connectionsTool Tip.

The perfect temperature to keep your data safe.

Our data center is kept at a constant 68 degrees Fahrenheit by a dedicated 7.5-ton HVAC system in a closed loop, filtered, humidity-controlled system. This space is dual fed from the 20-ton primary building system. In the event of failure of the dedicated data center system, the primary building system is programmed to take over automatically. We keep your data in constant comfort, so you can be, too.

Facilities prepared for the worst.

Skycasters NOC infrastructure provides robust architecture and ample colocation space.Skycasters is a state-of-the-art facility with all the features required to provide world-class services to our clients. However, any data center—i.e. the physical location and structure—represents a potential single point of failure. In response to that risk, we have developed a backup operations center on-site in an adjacent structure.

In the event of a more catastrophic failure that affects our facilities or infrastructure, Skycasters has access to alternate teleportTool Tip facilities through our provider partners to ensure continued service with minimal interruption.

The power to succeed.

To keep your communications running smoothly in the event of a power grid failure, our primary power distribution network and backup systems are designed to maintain continued operations at our Akron-based teleport. Not only is our system equipped with high-tech uninterruptible power suppliesTool Tip that provide battery backup, but also two self-starting, diesel fuel-powered generatorsTool Tip that assume power within 7 seconds of a power grid failure. We maintain 36 hours of fuel on-site, with replenishment delivery priority 24/7.

Business-grade equipment designed for, well, business.

Why use a residential satellite Internet company to conduct your business when there’s Skycasters? Not only are our dishes larger and more powerful than the competition, but the infrastructure, components and capabilities of our network are all commercial-grade and customizable to meet your unique needs.
