Skycasters Welcomes Marketing Coordinator Jaclyn Russo

Akron, Ohio – June 24, 2010 Skycasters is pleased to welcome its new Marketing Coordinator, Jaclyn Russo, a 2010 graduate of Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a Marketing Specialization.

“We were thrilled when we found out that Jackie was from BGSU,” Mike Kister, a graduate of BGSU and a member of the BGSU Department of Marketing Marketing Advisor Council. “I’d never met her, and she found us on CareerBuilder. What a find! BGSU has an outstanding marketing program, so I knew Jackie would be a wonderful asset to our company.”

At Bowling Green, Jackie led community outreach as Director of Community Service for the Bowling Green American Marketing Association (BGAMA), enjoyed assisting adults with developmental disabilities with everyday activities at Wood Lane Industries, and played on the Women’s Club Soccer team during her senior year.

Jackie also produced and edited marketing plans and analyzed the impact of advertising and customer trends at the Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network, in Lakewood, Ohio during the summer of 2009.

“I was thrown into the fire,” Jackie described her first day at Skycasters. “We were in a time crunch to complete a proposal for the government, and the day I started we assembled a mass mailing to prospect organizations all over the country. Then I had to design a website, and prepare marketing materials for a direct mail saturation campaign.”

“My biggest challenge so far is relating our highly technical terminology in a way key decision makers can understand. But it’s fun,” she smiled. “It’s great to be a part of a company where everyone enjoys working on the team.”
